A Place for Poetry and Miksang Photography

About

Miksang is a Tibetan word meaning ‘good eye’. While my photography is not technically good I believe that I have this. I like to ‘see’ with all of myself and try to see clearly and with a gentle spirit, the things that are around me. When we are able to do this the world becomes a magical place and we become childlike in our perceptions of it.

So, Miksang photography is about purity and simplicity, rather than about improving the images we create with editing and enhancing. It is as it is, imperfect, the result of a synchronising of eye and mind in the briefest of moments.

I am not a poet either, but I will sometimes write a poem or maybe a Haiku, and this seems like a fitting place, a different nature and aspect of the gypsy that can be found at my other blog, Lucid Gypsy.

I would like to thank Louise http://thesacredcave.wordpress.com/2012/03/19/miksang-monday-02/ because her blog inspired me to begin this one.

  2. I came here – and I found Christine. I’m not surprised. I’ll be exploring this site, and the two links. Thank you for this encounter from another world.

      • I did not know about this. Our friendship was so new and quite exploratory when it ended so sorrowfully. I’ll take time to savour her voice again.

      • She sent me two of her essences, powerful stuff, very lucky me. I’ve just been browsing Dadirri Dreaming, I’m able to go there without tears now but with a heavy heart.

      • It was strange ending new (to me) posts, and very moving. So many questions I’d like to ask her about what she was doing to create the essences. What depths.

  3. Now I’ve had a look, let me say I love the photos and the titles both. Let me know if (when?) you start posting here again.
